On March 29, 2019, Nanjing Public Engineering Construction Center hosted the acceptance meeting of LYTZ vertical elastic tension and compression bearings developed and produced by Xinjin Tengzhong Road Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. in Chengdu. The meeting was attended by experts from China Jiaotong Highway Planning and Design Institute Limited, Anhui Transportation Planning and Design Institute Limited, Southwest Jiaotong University, China Railway Research Institute Limited and Chongqing Transportation Research and Design Institute of China Merchants Bureau. The meeting heard the report of the design, manufacture, quality control and finished product inspection of the research and development unit, reviewed the relevant information, and carried out on-site inspection of the assembled support products.

The expert group agreed that the manufacturing process and inspection methods of the bearing meet the requirements of relevant national and industry standards and standards, the quality control system is sound, the inspection results of raw materials and processed products are complete, and the information provided for acceptance can truly reflect the manufacturing process of the whole bearing product. LYTZ vertical elastic tension and compression bearing components bear clear and definite force, elastomer and elastic bearing performance indicators meet the design requirements of Nanjing Yangtze River Fifth Bridge; with an elastomer to meet the tension and compression stiffness requirements of the bearing, the overall structure is advanced, the expert group unanimously agreed to pass the acceptance.

The fifth Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge project is about 5 kilometers downstream of Nanjing Yangtze River Third Bridge and 13 kilometers upstream of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. The main bridge of the bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with longitudinal diamond-shaped pylon and three-pylon composite girders with double central cable planes. Its span is (80+218+2*600+218+80) M. The pylon adopts steel-concrete composite pylon. The pylon foundation adopts bored pile foundation. The main girder adopts streamlined flat integral box-shaped composite girder with coarse aggregate UHPC as deck material, and the cable-stayed cable adopts steel strand cable. Longitudinal double-row vertical supports are set at the middle tower, and the supports are set to restrict the longitudinal and transverse displacements. Longitudinal double-row vertical supports are set at the side tower cable tower, and transverse wind-resistant supports and longitudinal dampers are set.
